As a patient of Kenneth M. Renney, M.D. you now must communicate with Dr. Renney via a special Secure Messaging web site in the form of a "secure message." Unlike regular e-mails, secure messages are confidential, ensuring that access to the information is restricted to just the patient and the physician. Medem’s Secure Messaging services allows Dr. Renney to communicate online with you, the patient, through a simple, secure, eRisk and HIPAA-compliant network.

To utilize this exciting feature, you must first register with Medem’s web site by following these simple steps:

1.) Click on this link to go to the web site
www.hosma.medem.com/renney
2.) DO NOT click on Ihealth Record, that is a separate program and not required. Click on "New User" located near the bottom of Patient Logon box or follow this link: new user.
3.) Click Dr.Kenneth M. Renney.
4.) Complete the form as instructed. When asked If this is your first visit to our office, check NO.
Click on "Save and Continue" at the bottom of the page. Add your insurance information if you so desire, accept the Terms of Service, and click "Save and Continue". Ihealth is optional
YOU CANNOT FORWARD ANY SECURE MESSAGES TO THE PHYSICIAN UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A SECOND E-MAIL MESSAGE, CONFIRMING THE ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR REQUEST BY YOUR DOCTOR.
5.) Follow this link for a patient brochure describing Medem's Secure Messaging. .

Your registration request will be processed within 24 hours, resulting in a message confirming receipt of this request forwarded to your regular e-mail account.

Once you receive this second e-mail confirmation message, you can forward a message to your physician by selecting the "Patient Log in" function on the home page, entering the "User ID" with "Password" and clicking the "Continue" prompt. Then simply select the "Send or Check Messages" link to arrive at the Messages Menu.

Please remember that, because secure messages are not answered immediately, this method of communication is not suitable for an emergency situation. In case of an emergency, please dial 911 or call the 24-hour office phone number: 281-565-8800.
